According to the former Minister of women affairs, Pauline Tallen, more than 37 million women and girls in Nigeria cannot afford menstrual hygiene products. These women are unable to safely manage their periods, limiting their ability to study, work and live their lives. The experience of stigmatisation, physical and psychological stress during menstruation also leads to menstruation-induced school absenteeism. Findings have shown that school absenteeism during menstruation is a serious problem among school girls in Africa, capable of adversely affecting their academic performance.

Reupady is a Nigerian based company with an ambition to grow the category of reusable female sanitary products. We believe that by making sustainability accessible and effortless we can help keep more girls in school and also help tackle the plastic waste problem. Our mission is to create products that are safer for women and our planet. We believe that some of the small changes in our routines can have the biggest impact.
